Commedia dell'Arte

Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg produces exclusive editions – freely worked porcelain projects developed exclusively for the manufactory by artists and designers of international repute. In 2010 Wim Delvoye created a special edition figurine called "Bustelli Twisted" (right)
(Left side; Original figurines by Bustelli "columbine" 1760)
In 2008, on the occasion of the 260th anniversary of its foundation, they issued a special, fashionable, collector’s edition of Franz Anton Bustelli’s Commedia dell’Arte figurines:
"Julia" by Franz Anton Bustelli, 1760
 "Julia" by Christian Lacroix, 2008
For the Commedia dell'Arte-The Couture Collection, each of the figurines have been redressed with new designs by contemporary fashion designers and Haute Couturiers. A wonderful collector's book accompanied the Couture Collection. Photo below illustrates one of the essays
from the book. Photo by David LaChapelle .

Compulsory bouquet

When walking through Amsterdam's private houses from the golden age; Museum van Loon, Museum Geelvinck and Museum Willet Holthuysen.  I noticed so much flower bouquets scattered allover the place. It's not often you see that in a museum! Some of them were very large and made to accompany the room. Others were just bouquets. Nevertheless I think this is a lovely idea!
These three "private house museums" sure are a worthwhile activity. (open all year round)
