SNAPS: OPA Designcafé, Arnhem, The Netherlands
Our first public appearance. It just had to be documented.
Ingrid Kresse, OPA's director. Initiator of this month's designcafé on Milan and and craftsmanship during the Salone di Mobile.
Speakers; Duo Vroonland, Arjen en Sjoerd
OPA's writer Paula Strien, speaker Iris Bijvelds and her boyfriend and Philippe, OPA's producer.
Vroonland talked about their extended chair.Taken in production and showcased in Milan by Moooi
Mimi Berlin's first public appearance. Mimi talked about Milan during the Salone in general. And presented/discussed trends to/with the audience.
Iris Bijvelds told about her work, and showed her favourite designs she'd seen in Milan.
I must say; it was a very Interesting evening all together.

Blush – design in full colour
This summer (1 May – 28 August 2011), the Stedelijk Museum ’s-Hertogenbosch will unveil the first major exhibition of design duo Scholten & Baijings. The unique presentation will focus on the individual approach adopted by this young Dutch design agency: Blush - design in full colour.

Fur Free exhibition at the Hortus Botanicus
Fur Free is an initiative of Jojanneke van der Veer aka DJ Wannabeastar and Femke Dekker of My Little Underground and supported by the Dutch foundation Bont voor Dieren (Fur For Animals). During Amsterdam Fashion week (till Jan 30th) you can visit the fur free exhibition at The Hortus Botanicus |

I must say we had a very pleasant saturday afternoon ! Hortus is always a comforting place to be, but Hortus AND fashion is even better. Two of Hollands finest, Caroline Fuchs and Maarten Spruyt, are responsible for the fabulous styling of this event. That figures....it made our day, today was a good day. ***  |
